How Class Booking Works in a Mindbody-Synced Branded App
Recommended next step
Launch your StudioCharge custom booking app
Mindbody-native booking, events, studio shop, and member social feed — one branded app for your gym or studio.
Class booking in a branded studio app should match the board at the front desk. If the 6pm class is full in Mindbody, it is full in the app. If a spot opens, the waitlist should see it. That is what Mindbody sync is for.
The StudioCharge branded app does not ask you to rebuild the schedule. It shows the live Mindbody schedule inside an iOS and Android app that carries your studio name.

Quick answer
Members open your branded app, see the live Mindbody schedule, and book or join the waitlist. Open spots, class details, and availability are the same ones your front desk manages in Mindbody. Booking is included in the $299/mo plan, with unlimited booking.
Where the schedule lives
You keep building classes in Mindbody. When the branded app is connected, classes come in automatically with packages and members. The app is a member surface on top of that data, not a second calendar.
| In Mindbody | In the branded app |
|---|---|
| Class is on the schedule | Members see it on the book screen |
| Spot count changes | Open spots change with it |
| Class is full | Members can join the waitlist |
| You cancel or edit the class | The synced schedule is what members book |
The booking screen is the live schedule: class details, open spots, a book button, and the waitlist. The same availability your team already manages.
What a member does
- Download your app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Open booking. The schedule is the Mindbody schedule, under your logo.
- Pick a class and book it, or join the waitlist when it is full.
- Use membership access in the app when they already have a membership or pass.
- Ask Studio AI if they need help with a booking or a pass. Answers are for purchasing, class bookings, and studio questions.
There is no separate “build the booking flow inside the Mindbody consumer app” step. Members are not sent into the marketplace app to finish the reservation.
What is included with booking
On the $299/mo pricing card:
- Class booking and waitlist, synced with Mindbody
- Unlimited booking
- Membership access in the app
- AI member support for booking and pass questions
Purchases sit next to booking. A member who needs a pack can buy memberships, class packages, and drop-ins from the Mindbody catalog in the same app. That catalog purchase path is covered in how to sell memberships and packages.
What your team still does
- Create and edit the schedule in Mindbody
- Manage capacity the way you already do
- Tell members the app exists and where to download it
You do not maintain a second timetable for the app. If a class is wrong in the app, fix it in Mindbody. The sync is what the book screen reads.
Events stay on the same idea: workshops and other events you run can be part of the member app, still tied to Mindbody rather than a one-off form.
How this differs from a website schedule
A booking widget is a page on your website. It can show the same Mindbody classes, and it is not an app icon. Instagram, a QR code at the desk, and a returning member are all easier when the next book happens in an app they already installed.
If you only need a schedule on the website, a widget can stay. If you want members booking from the home screen, use the branded app. See how it works.

Frequently asked questions
- How does class booking work in a Mindbody-synced branded app?
- Members open the StudioCharge app and book or join the waitlist from the live Mindbody schedule. Open spots match what the front desk manages in Mindbody.
- Do I maintain a second schedule for the app?
- No. You keep the schedule in Mindbody. After sync, classes come in automatically and the app reads that availability.
